Pam is in Addis today and tried VERY hard to see those in charge at our paperwork agency. They made it difficult (not surprised) but did say to her on the phone...
"she said that your 3 kids did recieve new dates and she still had not translated the date but she said they are like September 29 or maybe up to November 1st, depending on the translation, so they must be like around 21Sep by Ethiopian calendar or something like that."
Sounds like they do have a court date. 21 Sept in Ethiopia is Oct 1st here. We have heard from everyone that court will not open until the 6 of Oct, but it sounds like court was hearing cases today! So, pray with us. Glad God knows the date bc we surely don't!

Sweet little baby Asher is now rejoicing before the Lord in His healed body and I imagine, casting quite a beautiful crown at His feet.
Please pray for the Ramirez family. How blessed beyond belief we are to Have a God who has walked this path with His own Son's death. He will comfort them with comfort I don't begin to know how to give...

We are eagerly awaiting our court date. Translation probably takes all of 1 minute, but who knows when that 1 minute will come?!
Just so everyone knows...we love our main agency, Fields of Promise, she has taken great care of us. Our case has been a little bit unusual bc we used another agency to "find" our children and yet another is processing our case in Addis. There have been many mistakes along the way, none forseeable (by us) and completely out of our hands. At this point we are sitting tight hoping our processing agency can just get us through our court date and out of their hair!

Seriously JH's favorite part about school...anyone want to sign a petition encouraging ben to replace one of our toilets with a toddler sized one?
JH is at his 4th day of school and seems to be fully potty trained. His teacher even taught him to stop using 5 pumps of soap because apparently "that's wasteful". (Yeah, I know)
He had show and tell today and brought one of his prized locks. It seemed to have a nice cushion of sweet baby doll faces as he threw it in the box...

We have a new court date for October. We are thrilled to see some movement. The date has yet to be translated. So as of now we are expecting our baby G to come in October and also E and Y to become legally ours! October might become our new favorite month. We could potentially travel 6 weeks after our court date, so the kids should be home in time to celebrate Christmas with us!
